Vetivert essential oil (CT Vetiveria zizanioides)
Vetivert is a densely growing fragrant grass, with strong and branched roots, from which its essential oil is extracted. Almost a third of all perfumes in the world are made from it. It has an extremely specific strong scent with a very low note.
In aromatherapy, it is known as the oil of tranquility. Its scent is soothing, it is used in mixtures against hyperactivity, anxiety, sadness, insomnia and mental exhaustion. It helps strengthen the body’s resistance. In cosmetics, it is used to care for dry, dehydrated and irritated skin, as it moisturizes and nourishes it and helps reduce the formation of wrinkles; therefore, it is recommended for the care of tired and mature skin. It accelerates wound healing and soothes inflamed skin. It acts as a deodorant, is known as an aphrodisiac.
