Citronella – BIO essential oil
Citronella is a plant with long flat leaves that grows up to one meter tall. It thrives in Asia, especially in Indonesia. The essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of dried leaves. With its strong scent, it acts as a natural repellent for mosquitoes and other insects. It is used in the production of perfumes and deodorants and in natural cosmetics.
It relieves inflammation on the surface of the skin, and through massage it relaxes tired muscles and joints. In aromatherapy blends, it has an anti-stress effect, helps with fatigue and headaches, and pleasantly refreshes the room. Because the scent of citronella oil is uplifting, improves concentration and clears the mind, many people use it to help with learning or meditation.
