Geranium essential oil (CT Pelargonium graveolens)
Geranium originates from South Africa, from where Dutch sailors brought it to Europe in the 17th century, where it became a highly valued and sought-after plant due to its pleasant scent and numerous medicinal properties.
Geranium essential oil has such a wide range of uses that it is known in aromatherapy as a panacea or an all-purpose oil. It is an ideal oil for maintaining body balance, it is known as an adaptogen – it improves the body’s adaptation to stress. It is one of the most important oils for skin care, both impure and sensitive and prone to eczema and psoriasis. It has a pleasant scent, with a warm heart note, slightly lemony and similar to the scent of a rose. It creates a fresh, harmonious atmosphere in the room.
